I am a fine art portrait photographer. Quality is important to me and to my clients as well. I was concerned about my reputation because I was handing my customers an expensive gallery wrap wrapped in ugly oversized brown boxes, so we switched to wrapping paper and bubble wrap to protect the gallery wraps, and that was also very ugly, annoying to open, and still easy to damage.
Frustrated, I looked everywhere for attractive and sturdy gallery wrap boxes, photo boxes specifically that looked as good as the gallery wraps themselves that my clients could easily carry and would protect the gallery wraps during transport. I wanted a handle on them too so that the gallery wraps could easily be carried.
I couldn't find any photography packaging supplies like this anywhere, and I seriously looked for years and years. So instead, I did what I usually end up doing- - I decided to make the photo packaging myself. It was quite the undertaking. And now I am sharing them with photographers and artists everywhere.
The one thing I did not expect was the positive reaction of my clients once they started receiving their gallery wraps boxed in our elegant gallery wrap boxes. They gush over them. It's hilarious, but they do. This photo packaging is so pretty that we decided to put our framed prints in the boxes too. We put our logo labels on the boxes and so it looks like a portfolio case. Many of our photography clients have told us that they intend to save our boxes for future transport of their images. So with my logo on the front, our photo studios will remain on the minds of our clients for years.
